Frances Hichens

Frances Hichens is an experienced primary teacher with over 15 years of teaching across the UK and international schools. Alongside her classroom experience, she holds additional qualifications in ESL and Teaching for Mastery in Mathematics, giving her a strong foundation in supporting a wide range of learners. She is currently the numeracy lead at her school, where she plays a key role in developing effective maths teaching practices across lower and middle school.

Frances specialises in building strong mathematical understanding in younger students, combining structured approaches with clear, accessible explanations. She is passionate about effective pedagogy and believes that every child has the ability to make meaningful progress when given the right support and guidance.
