Sian Coughlin

Sian Coughlin is an experienced teacher of English and Classics. She completed a postgraduate degree in education at the University of Bristol, and held her first teaching post in the UK where she taught A-Level English Literature and Classical Civilisation. A move to Vietnam followed, where Sian taught the full age range of 11-18; teaching IB English Literature and Lit Lang at both HL and SL. She also held the role of extended essay co-ordinator and enjoys helping students perfect their written technique. Sian is particularly passionate about spoken language, and she has enjoyed coaching students through LAMDA exams and MUN conferences. Moving from Vietnam, Sian spent two years working at St Julian's school in Lisbon, where she continued to teach the IGCSE and IB curriculum. She now lives in Bath, Somerset, with her partner and three children where she works as a private tutor and IB and IGCSE examiner.
